Terms of Service
Last updated:
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Lanseq websites, APIs, inference services, model endpoints, integrations, and related services. By accessing or using Lanseq services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Lanseq services
Lanseq provides infrastructure for accessing and operating open-model inference services, including OpenAI-compatible APIs, model endpoints, integrations, and related infrastructure.
Available models, features, capacity, pricing, limits, and service characteristics may change over time.
2. Access and credentials
Access to certain Lanseq services may require an API key or other credentials.
You are responsible for:
- keeping credentials secure
- preventing unauthorized use of your account or API keys
- activity performed using credentials issued to you
- promptly notifying Lanseq if credentials may have been compromised
Credentials may not be sold, shared, transferred, or made publicly available unless Lanseq expressly permits it.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use Lanseq services to:
- violate applicable law or regulation
- infringe the rights of others
- distribute malware or malicious code
- gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, networks, or data
- intentionally disrupt, overload, probe, or interfere with Lanseq infrastructure
- bypass technical restrictions, usage controls, authentication, or security mechanisms
- use the services in a manner that creates unreasonable security, operational, or abuse risk
- cryptocurrency mining, proof-of-work computation, distributed hashing, or other workloads primarily intended to generate cryptocurrency or digital assets
- using Lanseq compute capacity for unauthorized mining, cryptojacking, or similar resource-abuse activity
- attempting to disguise, proxy, distribute, or otherwise evade restrictions on prohibited compute workloads
Lanseq may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, infrastructure, service providers, or third parties.
Lanseq may use automated systems to detect prohibited or abusive workloads. If such activity is detected, Lanseq may immediately and automatically suspend the affected API key, endpoint, account, or access without prior notice in order to protect the service and its infrastructure.
4. Customer content and inference data
You retain responsibility for the prompts, data, instructions, and other content you submit to Lanseq services.
You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit that content and to use resulting model outputs.
Lanseq processes submitted content as necessary to provide the requested inference service.
Lanseq does not use customer prompts, model inputs, model outputs, or inference content to train models.
Additional information about data handling is available in the Lanseq Privacy & Data Policy.
5. Model outputs
Model outputs are generated by machine-learning systems and may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, unexpected, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.
You are responsible for evaluating outputs before relying on them, particularly in high-impact, regulated, financial, legal, medical, security, or safety-related contexts.
Lanseq does not guarantee that any model output will be accurate, unique, complete, or free from third-party claims.
6. Availability and changes
Lanseq may add, remove, update, replace, reroute, limit, or temporarily suspend models, endpoints, infrastructure, or features.
Service availability, throughput, latency, context limits, model behavior, and capacity may vary.
Unless separately agreed in writing, Lanseq does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability or any particular service level.
7. Pricing and billing
Where paid services apply, current pricing or applicable commercial terms will be communicated through Lanseq documentation, an integration agreement, marketplace, platform, order, or other applicable commercial arrangement.
Usage-based charges may depend on model, input tokens, output tokens, usage characteristics, or other disclosed billing metrics.
Third-party platforms or marketplaces may apply their own pricing, billing, settlement, refund, or payment terms.
8. Third-party models and services
Lanseq services may provide access to models, infrastructure, software, platforms, or services supplied by third parties.
Third-party components may be subject to their own licenses, terms, acceptable-use requirements, or technical restrictions.
Lanseq is not responsible for third-party services outside Lanseq's reasonable control.
9. Intellectual property
Lanseq and its licensors retain all rights in the Lanseq services, software, branding, documentation, and infrastructure, except for rights expressly granted to users.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of Lanseq intellectual property.
You may not use Lanseq names, logos, trademarks, or branding in a manner that suggests endorsement or affiliation without permission.
10. Suspension and termination
Lanseq may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:
- violation of these Terms
- security or abuse concerns
- non-payment where applicable
- legal or regulatory requirements
- material risk to Lanseq infrastructure or other users
- discontinuation of a service
Where reasonably practical, Lanseq may provide notice before material suspension or termination.
Confirmed cryptocurrency mining, cryptojacking, deliberate abuse of compute resources, circumvention of technical restrictions, or repeated prohibited activity may result in immediate termination of access without prior notice. Lanseq may review automated detections and restore access where appropriate.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lanseq services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Lanseq disclaims warranties not expressly stated in a written agreement, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lanseq will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
Lanseq may update these Terms as its services evolve.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the services after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by applicable law.
14. Additional agreements
Specific customers, integrations, marketplaces, or providers may be subject to additional written terms.
If an expressly agreed written agreement conflicts with these Terms, that written agreement controls to the extent of the conflict.
